The female Wildclaw claimed that she heard of the clan's peril's, and wished to restore the Stormborn Alliance to its former glory. Opal demanded to become leader of the clan, and threatened the dragons with exaltation if they did not comply.
Chara saw this happening, and attempted to negotiate with the group. As with most confrontations as such, their quarrel turned violet. Sharp claws clashed against thick scales, and both dragons sustained injuries on their flanks. Soon, Tanzanite and Lapis, the Wildclaws accompanying Opal, advanced toward the clan, nipping at Chara if she tried to distance the group from the rest of clan.
Noir, the clan's main warrior, attempted to defend her clanmates. However, the trained Wildclaws were much too strong. With most of the clan in shock, and the warriors exhausted, Chara was forced to surrender. Roaring in victory, Opal threw what remained of the Alliance's machinery into the chasm. Before the items shattered, Opal's companions snatched the materials from the air, and took to the sky. Unable to chase them, Opal focused her attention on what remained of the Stormborn Alliance.
Once every dragon was accounted for, Opal led the group to the Southern Icefield. What was once a large clan shrank dramatically, as over half of the dragons went their separate ways. Most of the dragons that chose to stay were exalted once they reached the territory of the Ice flight.
With only three dragons under her control, Opal struggled to rebuild the clan. But with a bit of bartering, the clan grew in size. She adopted dragonets from powerful clans, and assigned them to defend the Alliance once they were adults. Even though Chara was the hunter, Opal allowed her to train the future warriors.
Opal reformed the clan drastically. A hierarchy was established, infractions were enforced, and new lair types were created. What was once an industrial clan on the edge of the Shifting Expanse was transformed. As Opal packed the last rock around the wooden flag, she finalized the clan's name change.
The Frozen Alliance was born.
